07 / ENERGY QUESTIONS
Straight answers
Don’t see yours? Add it to your quote request and a dispatcher will reply.
How early should we plan a superload?
Talk to dispatch as early as you can. A superload needs a route survey, state permits and escorts before it moves, and dispatch gives you a lead time once the route is checked.
Can you deliver to a site with no dock or paved road?
Yes. We send equipment the site can take, such as an RGN or lowboy for heavy pieces or a liftgate truck when there is no dock. Tell us the ground conditions when you book.
Do you coordinate with our site team?
Yes. Delivery is planned around your project schedule, and dispatch confirms the ETA with the site lead before arrival.
Can you move lithium battery containers?
Yes. Lithium-ion battery storage units ship as Class 9 hazardous materials, moved by hazmat-endorsed drivers with placards and the full shipping papers.
Who pulls the oversize permits?
We do. Dispatch pulls oversize and overweight permits in every state on the route, and books route surveys and escorts where the permit calls for them.
Can you handle a phased, multi-week project?
Yes. Project cargo is planned end to end, and one dispatcher stays on the whole project from the first load to the last.
Can you report emissions for a project?
Yes. We can report emissions by shipment and book SmartWay carriers on request.
Will I know where the load is?
Yes. Dispatch sends updates at pickup, in transit and on arrival, and you can call for a check at any time.
